New news about Devil's Third!

Devil's Third was recently featured in the August 7th edition of the Japanese gaming magazine "Weekly Famitsu." Famitsu was generous and agreed to let us share the article with all our overseas fans, so once we get it translated we'll be hosting it here for you all to read. Check back often and look forward to it!

My Origin

Hi everyone,
This is Itagaki from Valhalla.

I haven't mentioned this yet, but one of my longtime dreams came true this past spring.
I had the honor of talking to Mr. Leiji Matsumoto, the creator behind the legendary manga and animation pieces that I have passionately been following ever since childhood, like "Galaxy Express 999", "Space Pirate Captain Harlock", and "Space Battleship Yamato", among others.
We were honored to greet Mr. Matsumoto at the Valhalla office, where he gave words of encouragement to the entire team. It was indeed an honor beyond belief. His visit is described in detail in another article, so please take a look.so please take a look.
Please understand that, due to some circumstances, the presentation of the text summary of his visit had to take place six months after the event.

Devil's Third

  Hello, this is Tomonobu Itagaki.
Today I would like to write about our current situation. I would like to call this a diary, but this is turning out to be more of a quarterly report... Anyway, let's get started.

It has already been three months since I presented "Devil's Third" at E3. We have received many truly valuable pieces of feedback from many people, and we are truly grateful for that. We at Valhalla Game Studios are working as one, delved neck-deep into development in order to answer your high expectations.
What is the most thrilling part about making something completely new? To me, it is the fact that I get to play a completely different version of the game with every build. Sometimes, in pursuit of new expressions of fun, we run into truly weird versions. But such is the nature of development. Those are the exciting days that we live in, every day.
It can perhaps be said that Valhalla's development style is similar to the development of fighter planes. Many prototypes are developed in parallel, and when the situation demands it, the most competitive version is rapidly thrown into the front lines. At the same time, in order to prepare for future tactical situation, more powerful new technologies are pursued outside the box. And, on top of this technological foundation, veterans show off their honed skills.

New Title Announcement

Hello, this is Tomonobu Itagaki. I have an important announcement to make.

This year, at the E3 show, we have decided to go public with the latest game we are working on right now at Valhalla Game Studios.

Our motivation was always to come up with a project from scratch, to gather together and work together as comrades, and to create something that all of you gamers can enjoy. It was for this simple goal that we decided to go independent.

In the past, I created four unique games - "Dead or Alive", "Ninja Gaiden", "DOA Xtreme", and "NG Dragon Sword". Thus, this announcement will be the fifth all-new project in my lifetime. I don't know if that number is large or small, but I know as a fact that every one of these announcements was a presentation of a new gaming paradigm from me to all of you. This time, it is no different. Details will be coming soon, so please look forward to hearing from me.

Valhalla, I'm coming!
